100 Windows - #82

Today I am showing you two different windows, but the same idea is used in each.
In the first valance, the same flat shape is repeated over and over. Notice how the pattern was matched on each piece.  Sometimes that uses more fabric, but it is more pleasing to the eye to see that kind of repetition.

The center piece of this valance is similar in shape to the "petals" above. The sides are wider and more elongated.  And of course, the big difference here is the trim. The pattern was not repeated exactly on the large pieces.
In either case, the entire design is made up of flat pieces, stapled to a board. Once you get past the math portion (!) these are very easy to cut and sew and a perfect start for a beginner.
