100 Windows - #81

Super cute, super easy valance.
The curved pieces are flat.
The "neckties" are a simple fold.
The floral and animal print mix is divine!

100 Windows - #80

Today I am sharing one of my all time favorite valances.  I saw this in a model home and it was love at first sight. Sometimes valances look like they are missing their better half, but this one looks great alone.
I love the sculptural quality of this top treatment! It is so simple and yet it's not!
How much fun would it be to mix fabrics on this style? And while the button is perfect for this particular valance, I can imagine so many other things that could take it's place.
It even looks good from a distance.

100 Windows - #79

Two riffs on the same idea:
Horizontal pleats at the top of the drapery panel.
In this first picture, the pleats are of a contrasting solid fabric. The pleated edge is either sewn or clipped to rings on the rod.
The panel appears to be lined.
In the second, the pleats are wider and either fold down on themselves or are lined. The bottom portion is unlined and this is a tab top drapery.
Which do you like best?

100 Windows - #78

Here is a quick, cute one!
Of course, I love the mix of toile and check. I hope that you can see that this pointed swag is hung from simple hooks in the wall. This is a great idea for a single window, but would also look fantastic in multiples.
And don't you love the little beaded tassel?
