A little inspiration

Sometimes it comes to us in the quietest places.  Inspiration for a color scheme, for a garden design, for a poem.
I stumbled upon this sight on a walk in town a few days ago.

Those green spheres on the ground that fell from a tree - what are they? Up close they look like little green brains! Last year I collected a bagful and piled them in a bowl on my side porch.
